Jesse Seifert has loved telling stories since he was a kid. When he's not writing at Emerson and Friends, he enjoys reading, listening to music, going to the movies, and playing with his cats. A Florida native, he lives in Clearwater with his wife Alexandra.

Nicole Northway is a Florida based artist and designer, known for her playful and colorful illustrations and pattern designs for her company Emerson and Friends. She draws her inspiration from her two young kids, Emerson and Lucy, and loves all things from the natural world. The beauty of the plants and animals of Florida provide constant subject matter for her joyful illustrations. Nicole received her MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has been honored to receive awards and scholarships for her work. She is a former Chicago based art professional and professor and now spends her time designing for her company and exploring Florida with her family.
